A New Park Has Come to the Neighborhood!

FOBA has finished the design and construction of a pocket park on the Hetch Hetchy right-of-way parcel at the corner of Bay Road and 18th Avenue. This park creates a more welcoming Marsh/Bay road entrance to the neighborhood with a simple, low maintenance landscape plan filled with native, drought-resistant plants. The dedication ceremony for this new pocket park was on September 21st where neighbors were joined  by both District 4 County Supervisor Warren Slocum and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission communications director Maureen Barry.

We finished the project with a reserve of $13,296 and will be able to have money to maintain the park for at least the first couple of years. The financial success of this project would not have been possible without the generous support of our corporate sponsors and the members of our leadership circle!

North Fair Oaks Playground Events

FOBA recently hosted an Easter event at the playground and a fun time was had by all. Playground events are a great time to meet neighbors and talk about how to get more involved in FOBA.

For upcoming events, look for notices on our Facebook page (and "like" us) at or on the community connection website NextDoor North Fair Oaks at
